A Terrible Blizzard Kills 11 People, Million Houses are Without Electricity

Washington - A blizzard is passing the East Cost of United States and so far has killed 11 people. The blizzard also makes 3 million houses are without electricity.



Connecticut, for example, more than 800.000 houses are without electricity. This beats the record of Irene Hurricane on last August. According to the governor of Connecticut, Daniel P. Malloy, people will be without electricity for a week.

"This will be a harder situation than we had on Irene Hurricane," said Malloy. "We estimate the outage for longer and wider," he added at Fox News on Monday, 31 October 2011. This blizzard has killed 11 people. New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and some of New York have imposed state of emergency.

This blizzard has made 640.000 houses or more in west Massachusetts are without electricity. Meanwhile in New Hampshire there are 285.000 houses, 40.000 houses in Maine, 600.000 houses in New Jersey, 300.000 houses in New York, 250.000 houses in Pennsylvania, and 11.000 houses in  Maryland without electricity.
