9 Strangest Animals in The World

1. Sea Spider





This animal which looks like a spider lives in different depths of sea. The other characteristic of this animal is its bulging feet. They do not have respiration system but diffusion to survive. The biggest animal of this species is called Colossendeis colossea.


2. Whip Scorpion




This scary Arakhnida has big padipalus (clamp) and "whip" in its stomach. The most frightening of this animal is that Arakhnida may inject some chemicals from its stomach, including formic acid (CH2O2), chlorine and octanoic acid (C8H16O2), depends on their species. Their last injection smells like vinegar. For that reason, they are also called as Vinegarroons.


3. Synodontis Nigriventis



Just like its name, this African fish is usually found swimming upside down. They are acting like this because they are trying to reach their food in the surface like insect's eggs. The color of its body is also upside down. This may function for it to have a camouflage to protect itself from the predators. This fish is a popular pet!

4. Water Bear


This small animal which looks like a worm is the greatest animal that has ever lived. They can live everywhere, whether in hot spring or polar.  They can enter cryonic state (a very low temperature condition) which make them invulnerable from the environmental damage.

5. Vampire Moth


Not every butterfly and moth drinks nectar. This vampire moths drink blood. They drink blood by penetrating their trunks on human's skin and drink the blood. And they often bite human. Fortunately, they do not bring disease with them. It's only male which bites.

6. Megalopyge Opercularis


This kind of moth is hairy. It is famous with some names like cat moth/cat caterpillar, southern flannel moth, and poisonous moth. This moth is more similar to persian cat than caterpillar. Perhaps they look funny, but do not ever touch them! Like most caterpillars, this little insect has defense system. Actually, their hair is poisonous thorn. Touching them will not  kill you but hurt you and give a scar. 

7. Giraffe Weevil


This giraffe weevil has a long and slim neck (it is only male which has this long and slim neck). This long neck helps giraffe weevil to build its nest. They are in many colors, and most of them are in black and red

8. Hairy Frog


This African frog gets its name from its skin structure on male which looks like hair. This hair is used to speed up in getting oxygen for the frog because the male ones need a long time to keep up their eggs. They also have claws which can be pulled out and is made of bone.

9. Barreleye Fish


The eyes of the fish are not the bulges on its forehead but the two transparent green balls inside its head. This eyes can be used to see its food in the surface or front of.
